STYLE
The aggressive styling of the new RS 50 by increasing a new wind tunnel tested fairing with a sporty modern design. This panel is very similar to that of the RS 125, won the 2006 Design Awards. Superior Twin headlamps lend and help the visibility of the aggressive styling of this incredible 50th Racing A streamlined, slim tail completes the Aprilia RS 50 Racing image and also hides the expansion chamber the exhaust under seat, another feature of the racing world over, which dramatically improves balance and weight distribution. A 13-liter tank and miserly fuel economy mean that the Aprilia RS 50 has an amazing autonomy. Also the new tank form conveys the spirit of Bike Racing: The tank seems to sit well on the Twin Beam frame like the tanks of the real GP racer.
CHASSIS
Aprilia was the first manufacturer to make of a 50 cc motorcycle with a frame made of aluminum. The new RS 50 takes things a step further reinforced with an aluminum alloy, extruded metal frame for a better performance than ever before. This revolutionary frame not only reduces the overall weight, but offers a new level of structural rigidity. The rocker is made from an alloy prestige and is damped by a hydraulic monoshock with adjustable preload, what a travel of 110 mm. The upside-down fork is another important feature of the 50th RS This highly advanced fork is absolutely safe and reliable and offer amazing performance in terms of glide and cushioning. The 40 mm fork tubes are the same size, as in many large wheels and suspension travel is a generous 120 mm, making the bike powerful brake system more effectively.
BRAKES
Aprilia has set new standards in braking technology and performance. The record diameter 300 mm front disk is a radial caliper, a solution first introduced by Aprilia 250 cc GP Racing slow down and then copied to all road bikes. This impressive braking system makes the new RS 50 address to GP style braking in complete safety. Even the brake is a high performance unit with a 180 mm stainless steel disc and a powerful two piston brake caliper on a special aluminum bracket. The new 'Y' spoke wheels share the same layout as the built Aprilia GP Racer. This lightweight, precision-balanced wheels with the latest generation of high performance tires combine to hold an amazing road in curves. ENGINE
A performance suspension to meet requirements of an engine. The RS 50 is therefore equipped with an advanced engine for the latest generation, in the form of a single cylinder, liquid-cooled, two-stroke powerplant with read valve induction and an anti-vibration balancer shaft. The latest design and technology allows exceptional performance this new machine (6.25 kW at 10,000 rpm) for its size and weight (only 15 to deliver kg). The lubrication provided by a separate mixing system, with a variable displacement volumetric pump. Starting is electric. The gearbox is a six-speed unit in order to make the best of the exceptional performance of the engine.
EQUIPMENT
On top of all this, the benefits found happy owners RS 50 by a number of prestige components normally only on much larger machines. Take for example the aluminum brake and clutch levers, Alloy footrest brackets, high exhaust and tubeless radial tires. Aprilia RS even has 50 equipped with an advanced multi-functional instrument panel. This compact analog / digital device acts as a genuine on-board computer. Besides all the usual parameters and functions, it also contains a built-in lap timer so that the champions of tomorrow take their best times length
