Looks good, but the rear looks like an Opel Corsa, and from the rear quarter panel up to the front like a Toyota Aygo (except the round headlamps).Much as I like Nissan, I reckon the sketch is weak. Could be anything really… Todays Micra all these years on still stands out with distinctive detailing that even puts current designs to shame. In a word: hope its not the Micra. Doesn’t even have the Micra cues…Nissan has released two design sketches of their upcoming global compact car.
While details are limited (Nissan didn't even name it in the press release), the car "will be first launched in Thailand in March 2010 and will be available in more than 150 countries."
Previous reports indicate that production of the NGCC (Nissan Global Compact Car) that will underpin the next generation Micra/March will occur at plants in China, Thailand, India, and two other "leading competitive countries."
Riding on a new A-platform or revised B-platform, the NGCC will likely be powered by a wide variety of fuel efficient engines including the 1.5-liter HR15DE (with 108 hp and 148 Nm of torque) and the new 1.2- or 1.3-liter XH5. Regardless of what's under the hood, Nissan has announced the car will be the first vehicle to qualify as 'Eco-car' in Thailand.
