Road Test Review: 2010 2011 New Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Road Test Review: 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

That is a really awesome truck, but who in their right mind would buy one before the 6.2L is introduced?people who have never driven it don't have a clue about how good the 5.4 propels this truck. The traction control has to be turned OFF on it already. The only place the 6.2 will truly be able to stretch it's legs is on clean dry pavement where it can hook up. If Raptor owners wanted a pavement queen, they'd buy a used SRT10. The 5.4 coupled with the awesome 6 speed is completely adequate for the Raptor. THe 6.2 will be icing on the cake, but those 5.4 owners will have been enjoying their Raptors for almost a half a year before those wanting 6.2s ever touch the steering wheel of theirs. The difference isn't going to be that astoundingRoad Test Review: 2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor

Some of the most fun we had was trying to get the Raptor sideways. As much as we gripe about wanting more power from the 5.4-liter V-8 in the F-150, in the Raptor it lets you tail-slide with precision instead of overpowering the truck if you’re accidentally too strong with the throttle. You simply angle the wheel, hit the throttle and enjoy the tail-slide. In flat stretches, you can really let the Raptor rip and drift through the bends. The grippy 315/70R17 BF Goodrich tires and wide stance (about 6.5-inches wider than a standard F-150) add to the stability. Body control is excellent. The F-150’s weight played against it a bit as it sunk into sticky mud, but the truck’ never let us down when we needed extra power to scoot out of a slick situation.
Though it wasn’t as dramatic as power sliding in a wash, we played with the Raptor’s Hill Descent Control. Several times we let the truck crawl its way down some very steep hills. The HDC walks the truck by modulating the antilock braking system automatically so you can keep your foot off the brake and simply steer the truck in the proper direction. The Raptor’s HDC is the quietest we’ve experienced. The ABS modulations were smooth and unobtrusive. Once, the Raptor started to slide a bit going downhill because of the slick mud, but it quickly regained its footing as the tires bit into more solid dirt.
Each time we started crawling the truck down the grades, a small group of spectators and passing dirt bikers stopped to watch, and each time we gave what was probably a less dramatic show then they thought they’d see.

The Prius is a very nice car, that just happens to get 50 miles to the gallon. It would be worth the money even if it only got 30. It is also the quietest car I have ever driven. Here are just some of the extras that the Prius comes with standard; keyless entry and push-button start, heated outside rear-view mirrors, cruise control, aux-input jack, six speakers, steering wheel mounted audio & climate controls, automated climate control, driver & passenger illuminated vanity mirrors, center console storage compartment, and much more. 300,000 sold and only 117 complaints about the brakes. MyToyota Prius 2010 : Reviews of the braking issue Prius's brakes seem fine, and even if they weren't I know Toyota would take care of them. Funny thing is that the Ford Fusion has had the same concerns about their brakes, but for some reason the press doesn't go after them. I think this is just another example of the American media looking to bring down the top dog

Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 1.8-liter, I4, 134-horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 51-mpg in the city and 48-mpg on the highway. A variable speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.

The 2010 Prius is redesigned for 2010. I find that the braking issue is definitely there. I had great issues stopping on ice esp. It feels as if you are not stopping and as if you are going forward on ice, if you hit bumps- esp with rear wheels, and it is quirky in that way.
The other side of the coin is that I had to break hard today in a parking lot when someone pulled out on me and the brakes worked very well. It is a glitch that can be fixed, and I think that the car is safe to drive. I do think that this issue needs to be addressed, and it is a wake up call to all drivers not to speed and not to tailgate one anothe

2010 Acura ZDX User Reviews and Specification

The 2010 ZDX is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury sport-utility, available in 3 trims, ranging from the 6-Spd AT. to the 6-Spd AT w/Advance Package. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 3.7-liter, V6, 300-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 23-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2010 ZDX is all-new for 2010. 3.7L V6, 24 valves, 300 hp @ 6300 rpm 6 speed automatic transmission 16 mpg city / 23 mpg hwy .The ZDX’s exterior is deeply alluring and reconciles, finally, Acura’s new “shogun warrior” styling theme. Its long panoramic glass roof terminates in a transom window set between the ZDX’s ultra-wide, sculpted hips. The interior, though difficult to access through the rear doors, is roomy and filled with high-quality touches—loop carpet, a strut-equipped cargo-bin lid, and leather that feels like it slid off a side of Wagyu beef.
Coming to market nicely loaded—a roughly $3500 Technology package adds nav, an eight-inch display screen (a camera with rearview-mirror-integrated display is standard), and ELS audio; the Advance pack offers all that, plus stuff such as blind-spot warning and adaptive cruise for about another $2000—the ZDX will start around $44,000, sitting, pricewise, between the MDX and the RL. It will offer 15,000 or so empty-nester MDX buyers a way to stay in the Acura brand without having to resort to driving a sedan. Because that would be far too rational.

Renault will introduce a new coupe-convertible at the Geneva Motor Show, and we don't mean the Megane CC. The two-seat Renault Wind, roughly the same size as the outgoing Peugeot 206CC, will join the four-seat Megane drop-top when they are introduced side-by-side next month.
Sales of the Wind could begin before the summer starts. Autocar is reporting that the Wind will be launched with the 100-horsepower 1.2-liter engine from the Twingo GT, and the 1.6-liter 133-horsepower engine from the Renaultsport Twingo. Front-end styling will be similar to the Twingo, but different. The car has a new bumper, and a recessed hood.
At 3830mm the Wind is 5mm shorter than the Peugeot 206CC, scheduled to be discontinued this year, and 207mm shorter than the 207CC. The Megane CC will likely come in around 4350mm.
It has a roof that folds to an open position in 12 seconds. The luggage compartment will remain the same size, at 270 liters, and will not be disturbed by the top. This is quite a bit larger than the Twingo hatchback.
Renault says the car will be readily available, and will be "affordable for everyone." More will be revealed about the Renault Wind and the Renaul Megane CC on March 2 in Geneva.
