The two systems will work together to generate nearly 200hp, while running as a four-wheel drive. This diesel/electric pairing would likely be chosen for the DS5. We expect the DS5 to be a family car with a somewhat similar design as the C5. Reports suggest the car will be based on the C-Sportlounge Concept, which debuted at the 2005 Frankfurt show. The DS5 would be a step up in class, and should have some luxury options available as well. AutoExpress is reporting that Citroen would hold off on their launch, allowing parent Peugeot to have the honor of introducing the world's first diesel-electric hybrid.
