These are just the kind of bikes this country needs. In a rotten economy, with extreme unemployment and a bleak forcast for the future these bikes are just the type of incentive to keep one motivated. If you want something bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to realize your dream. Some will work two or three jobs, cut back on your superfurlous spending, sell the Accord or Camry to get the money together. And when you buy one of these moto-icons, you will be helping to support an American company, thus helping our struggling economic situation. Who'd have thought that the little project that started as the CVO program in 1999 with the FXR2 would still be going strong ten years later. The new concept car is supposedly based on the same platform used by the Renault Clio, and could be similar in length. This platform, called the Alliance B, is also used by the Renault Modus, Nissan Cube, and Nissan Micra, and is rumored to also be the basis for a Nissan electric vehicle currently in the works. Nissan may show their model at the Tokyo Motor Show in October.

Renault also has plans to show off a new, overnight plug-in system, as well as their Quick Drop system. Quick Drop automatically takes out the car's drained battery, and replaces it with a fully charged unit. Total time: three minutes. Renault will talk about a proposal to introduce the garage-sized system at specific locations
