ExteriorChevrolet Optra Magnum 2009 2010 Review
The Chevrolet Optra Magnum will be offered in two body styles: the popular sedan and in its best-selling Estate version. Beyond its contemporary clean lines and overall quality fit and finish, the Optra Magnum maintains a supreme level of functionality and reliability. A new feature is the integrated signal lights on the side wing mirrors, a high-end design found commonly in luxury vehicles. Another upmarket feature is the set of manicure-safe chrome door handles that adds to the premium feel of the overall design.
Ride and Handling
The Optra Magnum's sophisticated four-wheel independent suspension, P185/55R14 all-season steel belted radials and power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering is well-weighted, providing exceptionally composed ride quality and control that make it as fun to drive as it is economical to own and operate. The standard front suspension features MacPherson struts with offset coil springs and a stabilizer bar. A MacPherson strut dual link suspension with coil springs and a stabilizer bar is used in the rear. This set-up provides smooth, precise cornering, while minimizing body roll. Stopping power is provided by standard power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, including 256mm ventilated discs up front and 258mm solid discs in the rear. Large tandem power brake boosters provide a solid pedal feel. An advanced four-channel, four-sensor ABS system is also standard.
