Gorgeous New MPV KIA Ceed 2009 2010 . Yes, it looks a lot like the Fiesta from the side, which I had noticed and commented on when that first rendering was shown here. But still, I don't think that is such a bad thing. It is more of benchmarking a good design language than copying some cars lines. I really like the front, with the new Kia grille and all... and the roof looks pretty charming too! Kia Cee'd is quite a pretty car for a decent price. I cannot say if this one is beautiful or ugly because of that camouflage. Let's wait and see. And yes, it could be a competitor for the compact MPVs VW Golf Plus and Ford Focus based C-max.As a small-ish five-door hatchback, its main competitor would be the Volkswagen Golf Plus, which is only available in Asia and Europe, and possibly the Ford Focus. It would also have to compete with itself, as Kia and Hyundai may offer the same version of the car. The only difference between the twins would be equipment offered, some styling, and perhaps performance options. Kia is still trying to attract only those interested in a low-budget car, while Hyundai is also going after a share of the lucrative sports car and premium car markets.Looks has some Audi Q5/Q7 cues on the tail lights, but has nothing to do with the current Kia design laguage shown in the Forte/Cerato and others. Still, as a matter of fact, looks sexier than any other mini MPV out there.
The Ceed 2009 2010 Plus MPV will enter a segment of the market that has always been rather competitive and will only get more so in these difficult economic times. It's good news, though, for this C-segment (Europe), or what is often referred to as the Golf-class, when buyers are downsizing from larger vehicles, especially when they can find more room inside a medium-sized hatch.
That is what the MPV-ization of models such as the Ceed or the Golf (into the Golf Plus) or the Focus (turned into a C-Max) is offering - more room for the buck.
And the Kia Ceed will also provide an adequate amount of bang too with 1.6 liter petrol and diesel engines likely on offer, both producing 126 hp. A 2.0 liter may also come down the pike for the model, one producing 142 hp.
